Writer/Journalist, Hillary Johnson tagged me through her weblog, Jack & Hill to answer 5 questions. Being a dog, a chihuahua to be exact, you might think that I don’t do anything but sleep and eat. Let me just say you are for the most part correct, BUT…I have quite the little inquisitive brain, so I am happy to answer the following questions:

What is the total number of books you own?

A year ago the answer was 0, but I acquired quite a collection when I was adopted by my sweet Carolina or “The Lady” as I call her. We now own approximately 300 books (including cookbooks, guides and reference books.)

What is the last book you bought?

I was at Vroman’s scanning the section of books on quantum physics when one of the store employees nicely informed me that dogs were not allowed in the store, even if they could purchase and read books. So I asked The Lady to purchase this book for me, Humans for Dummies: The Indispensable Guide for You and Your Human.

What is the last book you read?

Hayden Herrara’s, Frida: A Biography of Frida Kahlo (in spanish) “amo con todo mi corazon”

Which 5 books mean a lot to you?

Canine Massage: A Complete Reference Manual by Jean-Pierre Hourdebaigt. O.K., I admit, I bought this book for The Lady for my own selfish reasons. Long days consisting of modeling clothing and posing for cameras, does a number on my legs. What can I say? Thank you Jean-Pierre!

Relativity: The Special and the General Theory by Albert Einstein. A must for any amateur scientist or chihuahua.

Raw Meaty Bones by Tom Lonsdale because, er…umm, I just like the title?

The Other End of the Leash by Patricia McConnell. This book was an eye opener for me in understanding The Lady but I recommend this to every dog’s special person to help open the channels of communication.

How Brands Become Icons: The Principles of Cultural Branding by Douglas Holt. Being an icon myself, I find this book to be spot-on.
