I really feel that the canine world could use a little help. How did canine fashion come about to be so trashy and cheap. I can’t dress myself but that doesn’t mean I don’t have an opinion about what I would like to wear. I know there are people out there that think putting clothes on dogs is absolutely ridiculous. I respect that and there is nothing more ridiculous than a clothed dog in unfashionable and poorly fitting apparel. My philosophy to all you dog owners is this,

“I’m not wearing anything you would not be caught dead in…period!”

So here are some DO’s and DON’T’s:

If you want casual and farmy, don’t shove it in our face as with the case of Ellie Mae. A cap is more subtle and what says farm better than a hat that says,
John Deere.

The preppy look was a big DON’T 100 years ago. Go ahead and turn up the collar while you’re at it! Today’s busy dog is much more comfortable in a t-shirt and aviators, with UV protection. I also recommend Doggles for the x-treme canine.

If you’re gonna make a fashion statement, it’s best not to do it looking like a lump of wet cut grass. Some might disagree with me but I think this festive ensemble says, “I’m sassy and I’m comfortable with who I am.”

I think The Lady would agree that Converse high tops would be the way to go. I approached them to do a deal to make XXXXXXXXXS sizes but they just laughed. Hey…their loss.

This is a motley crew and the shirts suit them but I’d also like to see them in Chi WOW WOW vintage surf tees.
